GRAPHICS CONTEST!

It's about time for another contest, wouldn't you say? And with all the suggestions being put into the board suggestions thread, we have decided to hold both a scheme and avatar contest at the same time. :D

SCHEME RULES Headers must be 750 pixels wide, and must be between 200 and 300 pixels in height. If you would like for your header to have the fading background or be an L-Shaped scheme, it needs to be 800 pixels wide and 500 pixels high.
The headers may must feature either a television show or a movie, not an individual.

The headers may have any text or effects that you would like.

You must also submit buttons with the schemes. These buttons must be saved as .gif files as the names mentioned below. Remember you are being judged on the entire scheme so the buttons should look nice. You will need the following buttons. Be sure to click the links for examples):

If you choose you may make these buttons the same size as those or one of the other schemes, but no different from that.

You must make the buttons as well. You cannot enter the contest with a header and no buttons.

Members are allowed to submit up to two entries.

AVATAR RULES Your entry must consist of a total of 60 avatars.
These 60 avatars can be broken up into six different categories: actors, actresses, television shows, movies, music, and models. You can submit a total of ten avatars for each category, (i.e. 10 actor avs, 10 actress avs, 10 movie avs, etc.) which will come to a total of 60 avatars. However, your entry does not have to consist of all the categories, so if you are wanting to only submit 60 avatars of actresses or actors, that is fine.
The avatars must be 110x120px in size with no effects and no border.
Members may submit up to one entry.

PRIZES For the winner of the scheme part of the contest:
Your header and the buttons that go along with it will be made into a scheme.
A Custom Avatar - The avatar can be 115x130 pixels and you may have it for one month.
Access to the Contributor Forum - You will have access for one month.
A bold title that states that you are a contest winner.

For the winner of the avatar part of the contest:
All 60 avatars added to our gallery.
A Custom Avatar - The avatar can be 115x130 pixels and you may have it for one month.

As you can see, for the most part, we are combining both of our previous contest into one big graphics contest, in hopes that everyone might have a chance to enter something if they can. And we also want you all to be able to get the avatars and schemes you want while the staff and I are busy putting more awesome RPGs together for everyone.

Members may enter both parts of the contest, which means you can send two entries for the scheme part and one entry for the avatar part. Or, if you would like, you can enter just one of them. This means that would have up to two different winners for this contest, depending on how the voting turns out. The deadline for the entries will be two weeks from today, July 13, 2007. This is kinda contradictory, LOL So can we only submit 10 avs for one category or can we choose which categories we cover? :D Just wanna clear that up, before I start!

I might actually do this one, i didn't do the last competitions and as a result, ended up not liking a lot of the entries (it wasn't that they were bad, just none were of my interests...the subjects i mean).

Ahh, that was totally my bad on that one. I was trying to edit the rules from the last contest and didn't get it all. But I edited the post a little now. Basically, you can submit any avatars you want within those categories, but if all your avatars end up being just actors and actresses or just movies, that's fine. As long as it's no more than 60 avatars. Hope that makes more sense. Really sorry about that. :)

And I'm so happy your doing the avy one again, cause I didn't get chance to submit mine last time, so I still have most of them from the other one I never got chance to send, so I'll probably have that finished within an hour :).

With the avatars, would it be acceptable to do 60 avatars of one genre, that sort of spans several of the catergories? Say some for the show and some for the actors/actresses in said show?

I was just about to ask that, so would it be ok to do like 20 for the tv shows, 20 for films and then 20 for actor/actress, and that would still equel 60 but not have all categories.

You can choose which categories you cover, so if you want to do just two categories that's fine, you'd just need to have a total of 60 avatars.

Question on the Scheme contest.....do we have to pick movies and shows that are not already on the Scheme list, or can we pick one that IS in the list that we think might do well with an update?

Also, how do we submit these and when is the deadline? :)

You may choose any movie or television show you would like, whether they are on the current scheme list or not. Completely up to you. And be sure to read everything in the first post of this. I stated that the deadline is July 13th and send the entries to a staff member. :)
