That's right. The famous operatic tenor passed away quietly in his home at 5 am local time in Modena, Italy. His unforgettable voice and physical presence will not soon be forgotten, as the whole world reels in shock. The death was expected, as he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was in the final stages of the deadly disease when he died. For now, all we can do is remember.
Any thoughts?

I think he is a great loss for the music world and his family ofcourse. He really was in possesion of an extraordinary voice and he will never be forgotten for his contribution to music.
R.I.P Pavarotti.

I was really sad when I heard about this. I still am. His voice was so incredibly beautiful, and I don't normally like opera music, either. But he just...he was so full of emotion and expression, and he conveyed things beautifully.
I agree, that this is a huuuuge loss for the musical world.

I know, I read that earlier and I was SHOCKED. I mean, he was so young and so talented, I was sure we'd get more years out of him but the pancreatic cancer he had totally ripped him to shreds. RIP and my heart is with his family.

I feel deep sadness as well. I grew up listening to him, my dad listens to everything classical, new age, opera and all. He loved him and so did my Abuela (God bless her soul) so this is big time for me. I may not have known him personally but his music was universal, this is definitely a tragedy for everyone. My condolences to his family and loved ones. He will always be remembered. :(

He sang with the Spice Girls once. It seems like he sang with them just yesterday, I still can't believe that he's dead. Although I never really knew him, it is a loss for the musical community....
