Since it's go to do with music from movies, I decided to post it here. Hope I did right.
So, a few of my favourite soundtracks are from these movies:
Star Wars
The Fifth Element
Anne of Green Gables
Legend
The NeverEnding Story
& some Disney Classic Movies (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Aladdin, The Beauty and the Beast)
There's probably more but I don't always remember everything, lol.
What are yours?

I have the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack - the one from the most recent production with Emmy Rossum. It's stunning. At least I adore it, and often replay certain tracks numerous times. "All I Ask of You" and "Point of No Return" are probably my favourite songs from off it. Mmm.
Not really got many soundtrack CDs. I have the Grey's Anatomy series 1 soundtrack if that counts? XD Cause that show has great music!
Yay for a soundtrack thread!lol I enjoy all the threads you post Suz. Sooo about soundtracks!I love them as much as i love movies. I buy more soundtracks than regular cds, i tend to collect them. There are so many great ones out there i would like to have.
Some of the ones i own have exceptional music! My favourites:
Memoirs of a Geisha - Undescribable beauty in this cd. And it is so clever that they use the instrument of cello to represent Sayuri and the violin to represent the Chairman.
Requiem for a dream- I think that no words are really needed here since the Kronos Quartet have created a masterpiece.
Mists of Avalon: The Mystic's Dream by Loreena McKennitt and I will remember you still by Aeone are sensational.
Braveheart: Amazing, touching, inspiring what else can be said?
Cold Mountain: There is hardly any song in this soundtrack that i don't like. Beautiful voices, various instruments, songs for happiness as well as tears. It's great!
I also love the Lord of the rings soundtrack, the Gladiator and Death Proof one.
-EDIT- Forgot to mention the disney Pocahontas soundtrack!!<3

I also forgot to say which songs from these soundtracks are my favourites! lol. So, from Star Wars, I really REALLY love Across the Stars (you can listen to part of it here (”http://www.espew.com/cgi-bin/spew/2057347/SW_AcrossTheStars_2.mp3”), it's the most beautiful classical piece of music I've ever heard. The musician who created it is very famous too. Besides, it's mine and my fiance's song). :)
From the Fifth Element.. I like the songs Leeloo, Human Nature, Timecrash, etc.
From Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea: Anne, Together & Return to Green Gables are my favourites (you can listen to them here (http://anne.honeytart.com/); go to Fun&Games, click on Downloads&Media).
From Legend: My True Love's Eyes/The Cottage & The Dress Waltz (from the Jerry Goldsmith version), Loved By the Sun (from the Tangerine Dream version).
From The NeverEnding Story: The Ivory Tower, NeverEnding Story

Favourite soundtracks?! But there are so many I like!
I'm a soundtrack spaz, I love them. Lately it's been all five Harry Potters, although the new one was vaguely disappointing (they got a new composer). I'm also a big fan of the Lord of the Rings soundtracks and all the Disney soundtracks have at least one song I'm really into.
The Spiderman 2 Soundtrack was amazing, all the music fit really well and it has many things that were good without a movie to go with them as well. : )
Also a few anime soundtracks such as Spirited Away and dotHack.

I guess I'll drop my favorites in here. Um, Garden State, The Last Kiss, I'm Reed Fish, Requiem for a Dream, and the Lord of the Rings soundtracks. I'm sure there are others, but these were the first ones to pop into my mind. Garden State and The Last Kiss, simply because Zach Braff and his creative team really know how to pick songs that fit the emotions of the characters while not choosing songs that are completely overused. Plus, The Last Kiss showcased some artists that weren't completely well-known at the time. Um, Requiem for a Dream needs no explanation, and neither do the Lord of the Rings soundtracks, really. They're simply amazing. Um, oh, yeah, Walk the Line... amazing soundtrack simply because the actors sang their own music and did an amazing job.

The OC - In general, they play some good songs on the show, so I borrowed them from my local library.
The Little Mermaid - Haha... Don't ask me why. It's just nice. My favorite Disney movie ever.
Prince Who Turned Into a Frog - My favorite soundtrack in the entire world. I love the series. I love the songs.
Ying Ye 3 + 1 - A nice soundtrack. There aren't that many songs on it though. But most all the songs I really like.
High School Musical - Guilty! Hehe... They're just... catchy.
Those are it for now...

I am such a soundtrack whore. No, really, ask Daph and Christina. lol. Probably about 50% of the music I listen to is off some type of soundtrack. Some of my favorites are:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer 'Once More With Feeling: How could I be a true Buffy fan and not love this soundtrack? Joss Whedon is a genius and the whole cast is amazing.<3
Gilmore Girls: Some of the songs on here are a little... iffy. But mostly, I love it. I love the "Lala" songs by Sam Phillips. *sigh* I miss this show.
Hairspray: I love this soundtrack almost as much as I love the movie. James Marsden, Brittany Snow, John Travolta, Queen Latifah and, of course, Zac Efron... *sigh* so many reasons to love.
High School Musical: (both one and two). Yeah yeah, I know. But, I can't help it. <3
Josie and the Pussycats: This probably goes on the "wtf" list. But, there are a couple songs on here that I actually really love. "You Don't See Me" is a reeeeally good song, even if it is a little on the poppy side. And also, how can you not love "Backdoor Lover"? I mean, come on... =P jk. Obviously.
One Tree Hill: (one, two and three) Music is such a huge part of One Tree Hill. The third soundtrack wasn't as good as the first two, I must admit. But, I love a lot of the music from the show.
Rent: Possibly the best musical ever. I listen to this soundtrack ALL the time.
Undiscovered: I love this soundtrack for two reasons. One: Steven Strait<3. Two: they replaced Ashlee Simpson with some other chick. HAH. =P
Veronica Mars: *cires* I miss this show too. But the soundtrack is amazing.
Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical: Kristen Bell FTW.
Labyrinth: Bowie. Enough said.
Moulin Rouge: Do I really need to justify myself here?
Romeo & Juliet: (the second one) Some really amazing music on this cd.
Requiem for a Dream: Just 'cause... *sigh* love.
A Walk To Remember: Shane West. Mandy Moore. Switchfoot. <3
Grease: Again, I really don't need to say why I love it. lol
Rocky Horror Picture Show: *sigh* Yes. My friends and my father recently got me into this movie. As messed up as it is, the music is awesome.
Anything Disney: Okay, maybe not anything. Mostly old school Disney. Aladdin, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast... ect.
Eh, there's more, but I think I'll stop there. lol.

Grey's Anatomy -- I look foward to buying the new one each year. They have really good songs and I've gotten a lot of my favorite singers and bands from them.
Hairspray -- I just love it, love it, love it. It's my favorite moive EVER and the songs are so fun. I loooove Nikki Blonsky, she is too cute, and there are so many awesome people on it, John Travolata, Elijah Kelley *swoon*, Michelle Pfiefer, Amanda Bynes, and of course, my Zac. Lol, Vannessa Hudgnes needs to gtfo.
House, M.D. -- Basically just because of the Band From TV's remake You Can't Always Get What You Want.
Highschool Musical -- Hi, my name is Carlee, and if I saw Zac Efron on the streets, I would jump him. /cliche

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Um... JOHNNY DEPP! Haha, that is so enough said, but I want to go furthur. I am addicted to it! The lyrics are incredible and very creative and the cast sound fantastic.
Helena sounds like she's been singing all her life! Not as though she only learnt a few months prior to working on the film. And Jamie! OMG. He is amazing.
Epiphany is definitely my favourite song. A Little Preist is hilarious, as is By the Sea (only if you're watching the movie at the same time).
Yeah, I love it!

God, I love it. A lot of the songs are so folky and just plain different, its impossible for it not to just like, intrigue you. A lot of soundtracks are just so mainstream, hit songs thrown together and such, but I had heard of hardly any of these artists before the soundtrack. Blah, its just awesome.
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Helloooo? He's just a sweet transvestite from traaansexuallll, transylvania! And yet, unfortunately, I have yet to buy the actual soundtrack, which I am going to do one day once I find I have deep enough pockets to afford more than a bus pass, lmao. Though I've got a majority of the songs dled to my computerrr.
