I looked through the threads and didn't find one, so I figured I'd start a Friday Night Lights thread, since I know there are some fans of the show here. Season two is getting ready to start in October, but Yahoo!TV has the season premiere online for those of you who would like to watch it before it airs. Just click here (http://www.tv.yahoo.com/falltv2007/friday-night-lights/show/38958/videos) to view it.

Anyway, come here to share your FNL love. Personally, I think Matt and Julie are pretty much the most adorable couple ever, but I think my favorite couple on the show is Tim and Tyra, even if they're terrible to each other. Tyra is definitely my favorite girl on the show, though, since Lyla gets on my nerves.

I love Friday Night Lights! But I'm going to wait for the premiere of the new season to watch the first eppy...
Matt and Julie definitely are the best couple. I don't mind Lyla that much. She's okay.

Friday Night Lights is seriously my fave show. Matt/Julie are by far the most adorable couple on any TV show right now, and I will cry if they break up. I also wish I had a boyfriend like Matt when I was in high school, since he's such a sweetheart. I like all of the other characters as well, since they all offer something that's relateable, but I would have to say that Lyla is probably my least favorite. There's just something about her that bugs me. Oh! And I don't care ifKyle Chandler is old enough to be my dad, he's seriously hot. I love the chemistry that he and Connie Britton have as well, so they're my fave married couple on TV. :D

Who's excited for the premiere of Friday Night Lights today?! I know I am. Hehe... And I suggested for some FNL avi's and they gave us a few which are nice. I love the one I'm using right now!

I finally got around to watching the premiere last night. I have more to catch up on, but I've at least seen that. I'm not liking the Swede or Julie at this point, and I feel pretty bad for Matt. I think Julie's reaction to her father trying to pris into her life after eight months of being gone was fairly genuine, but I don't like the way she's changed towards Matt. Landry trying out for the football team is just annoying. I'm not sure about bringing the attacker back, but if it means seeing more of Adrianne Palicki on the show, then I guess I'll deal. There just needs to be more Tim and Tyra this season.

I saw the premiere but I didn't see the second episode. Hopefully I'll catch the third one today...

I know! What is up with Julie and the freak Swede? Hello? *points to her avi* Yeah, Tim and Tyra is a must.

FNL is one of those shows that people thinks sucks until they actually sit down and watch it. I haven't seen a show like this in a while, especially on network television which I feel has really been slipping in the quality of their programming lately. All the characters in this show have an element of realism. It's a far cry from most shows when you can only believe the main character and everyone else is a backdrop. The city and football in a sense are the true characters in this show. I just love what they'd done with it and how they've progressed. I had a little doubt about where they would go in the season season, but they've gone above and beyond my expectations.

I pretty much agree with what Alex said completely. I'm behind on a few episodes this season, but I'm going to try to get caught up this weekend, but yeah. There really isn't a *main* character on this show. It really is about Dillon as a whole and how something as simple as high school football can affect an entire community. It's definitely something I'd recommend to anyone, especially the skeptics.

I used to be a skeptic but then I heard there was this hot guy that always took his shirt off....
if you really don't know who I'm talking about it's Taylor Kitsch. It's like he was born with perfect abs, they look effortless. Plus, he can't act. So amazing.
