Powell, Wyoming has always been a quiet town. Practically everyone knows everyone else, aside from perhaps some of the transient student population. Most people would be rather surprised to find that one of the local mechanics is in fact a werewolf and there is a practicing witch coven in town. Given the seclusion of the town, it was the perfect spot for the vampire tribunal, the council that had power over vampires all over the world, to exile Victor, a very violent and charismatic vampire, as punishment for his scheming to overthrow the council.
Furious at his punishment, Victor has not entered into exile gracefully. He brings his coven along with him, including his children, and for now he is allowing them to assimilate into the unsuspecting town. Exile is not enough to stop Victor from carrying out his plans and for now he’s just biding his time. When everything is order Victor plans on making the town into a bloodbath, killing everyone. It’s a secluded town, he has no doubts they could do it without anyone even knowing. Eliminating an entire town is sure to get the council’s attention and the point across. Victor wants them to come to him. If killing everyone in Powell does it, then he’ll move to the next small town and so on and so forth until they do.
There are a few hinges in Victor’s plan such as the group of hunters that have been tracking them, determined to put the vampires down. Victor is ruthless and bloodthirsty and expects the same of his vampires. What he doesn’t expect is trouble from within the group in the form of his favorite son Nikolas who falls for one of the humans in town, a girl named Audrey, a girl who just happens to be friends with a witch who receives portents of the future while she sleeps as well as the only werewolf in town.
As plans are set in motion and vampires, wolves, and mortals collide, everyone’s lives are about to drastically change.
