Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment this afternoon. It is so sad. Source 1 (http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/19613712.html). Source 2 (http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/22/actor-heath-ledger-is-found-dead/). It's so shocking and tragic. I can barely believe it.

I just found this out from Amanda. That's what I get for not having anyway to get news while I'm at work. But anyways. I'm upset. My childhood movie was 10 Things I Hate About You, and I loved him in it. Then I loved a Knight's Tale. So yeah, I'm upset.

My mom called me, and said she got the news from an CNN email. I freaked out and was almost in tears. He was one of my favorites actors, A Nights Tale was one of my favorites movie as well. It's so sad, I can't believe he's gone.

My friend Chris just told me on msn and I didn't believe it till I saw a million different sources saying it on google news. It's so sad. He was a great actor. I loved him in 10 things and in Brokeback Mountain. He was so young too...it just seems so unbelievable.

This was totally out of left field and was completely unexpected. The last I heard he was filming a movie in London over the weekend, so I definitely didn't believe TMZ when I saw it posted there, but then other news reports started coming in. It's definitely a huge loss for Hollywood, and I feel so bad for his family, especially his daughter who is just at the age where she's starting to really understand and figure things out, at least somewhat. I thinks he's 2, maybe 3. But yeah, totally sad.

I literally was just told fifteen minutes ago when I got online. I'm in a state of shock right now. I loved him as an actor, so this is so sad. He will be greatly missed, and watching movies will be almost impossible for me now. All my condolences go out to everyone who knew him personally. RIP Heath <3 :(

I too was in disbelief. Holly told me and I was like no, you're wrong. I checked some sites, nothing then she gave me the link to the NY Times. I read it and it hit me but it didn't sink in. I turned on the news since it was 4pm then they said it. They said it and it was true, he's gone. He's never going to make movies again. He had so much talent, so much more to give. Yeah, they said his daughter is 2 years old and him and Michelle Williams were engaged. It's just. I can't even form many words. I didn't even know him but his work as an actor, I really adored him. It's a tragedy for the arts community as well as for his family. Gosh, I feel so bad for his loved ones. So sudden.

Yeah. I just went on to OnDemand and of all the movie channels HBO, Starz, and Encore each had at least one Heath movie, so out of Brokeback Mountain, Casanova, and 10 Things I Hate About You, I chose the last. I totally did not expect it and am totally in denial still.

This has been the worst week in a long time when it comes to celebrity deaths. Every actor/actress who died this week were not deserving of death at all. I'm still recovering from Brad Renfro's death, so you can imagine how gut hurting it is and shocking to hear that Heath Ledger has died now too. I was a fan of 10 things I hate about you, and A knights tale, and I was really looking forward to Batman with him in it. I'm just so shocked it's not even remotely funny.

I can't even function properly right now. This is too much. That's two already, in one week, and two actors that I really liked. *takes a deep breath* I'm still in shock, not knowing what exactly I should say.....

I wasn't a big fan of him but Seriously he can't be can he, I know no one would ever say that if it wasn't true, but I just can't believe it. I'm stunned, absolutely stunned, wow, that's a shock, I don't know what to say. Except that it's very sad, I never imagined this would happen.

Out of all the celebrities I expected to hear died, Heath Ledger wasn't even on the list. Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears I could've seen, but not this. I didn't see him in many movies, but he was great in Brokeback Mountain and 10 Things I Hate About You. I can't believe he's gone. He will never make another movie. My heart goes out to Michelle Williams and his daughter. Only 2 years old and fatherless...
RIP Heath Ledger.

My older sister called and told me, and I didn't believe her either. Then I went to yahoo and it was their cover story. I felt in disbelief, then I felt really low. It's like when Steve Irwin died- a really, really sad event. Both men leaving behind two little girls...awful. Going to see The Dark Knight in the summer's going to be really bittersweet.

I found out about this from Christina right before one of my classes, and then some classmates were whispering about it.. I could not believe it. He was way too young and talented and had so much important things in his life. I wasn't a huge fan, but I did love him in the movies that I've seen of him. It's so unfortunate. :(
RIP Heath <3

I too could not believe the news. I was in shock as me and my mom were coming home from an appointment. I turned off my iPod the second I heard his name and when I heard that he died, I was just ready to burst in to tears. He was one of my favorite actors and to hear that he's dead is just a shock. He will be greatly missed by his fans.
RIP Heath <3

Awe that's nice Lynn, I like it.
And he will be greatly missed by all his fans, It's going to be weird for awhile not seeing him, and I'll probably keep expecting him to appear. He will never get to see his little girl grow up, and she'll have never gotten the chance to know her father.

Omgosh, when I heard the news- I could not believe it. I told my friend that I'll believe it when I see a video of the police escorting the body from his house in a body bag. (Man, I was so in denial I actually suggested that perhaps he faked his death because of The Dark Knight. [ I know, I know- as if TDK needed a ratings boost. ] ) And of course- after like, twenty minutes of saying that- it was as if TMZ heard me and posted a video of the police escorting the late Mr. Ledger out from his home. Seeing
The Dark Knight is definitely going to be bittersweet, I completely agree. And my prayers are definitely going out to Michelle and Matilda.
Acid Barbie- don't even worry about it. 'Cause I did the same thing. Great minds think alike.

Everyone on MSN had it up and I thought it was the cruelest joke to ever play. I was so sickened. Then I checked on Yahoo and saw it wasn't a joke. I dunno if the day had worn me out too much, but I got a bit teary eyed.
I found out a little over and hour now and I'm still shocked. I'm sad, pissed...all that stuff. I hate that E! News spend 2 mins talking about him out of their hour segment. "A Knight's Tale" was my fav by him. I've seen it too many times! And now I wanna see the Batman flick. No idea that was him! Amazing. I hope if all that stuff about heaven exists, that he's watching. I sure as goodness will miss him.
EDIT:: Very beautiful dedications ladies! AMAZING.

I just found out when I got on here. Literally. I was wonder why everyone all of a sudden had Heath avs. I really haven't watched an entertainment news shows in the last few hours... so. It's so sad. Heath was such a good actor and I seriously didn't see this coming. He had so much to live for... it's so unfair that it got cut short. Seriously. I really do feel sorry for his family and his daughter. His daughter most of all who will never really know him.

This sucks, he was a very talented young man. I just re-watched Candy over last weekend, and its just shocking and surprising, very very sad.
I hope they bring him home though and not bury him in the states.

I'm in complete shock because I can remember Heath on Home And Away! But to find out one of Australia's finest Actor has died still in the prime of his life is such a sad shock ...... Matilda is daddyless I feel so sorry for her.
^ I think they will because Heath always considered Australia home and it was Australia that influenced him with his daughters name.

This is seriously sad news. I got a text from a friend and thought she was messing around until I checked online when I came on and both people I IMed immediately mentioned it which gave me an insight into it being true. I feel so bad for his little girl, in particular. That poor kid who only has her memories to last a lifetime, albeit happy ones.

I was shocked when I heard this, it was really shocking and so sad to see someone so young die. He will be missed, I'm still in shock over his death because I never though I'd ever talk about him in the past tense.
